Bachelor of Business (Accounting)
Professional Accreditation
Our Bachelor of Business (Accounting) course is accredited by Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and CPA Australia as meeting the professional accreditation standards, including the technical and professional competency areas. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates will be eligible to apply for Associate membership of CPA Australia and for Provisional membership of CA ANZ.


The Bachelor of Business (Accounting) course consists of 24 units (20 core and 4 electives) with each unit carrying a 10 credit point weighting. Successful completion of the course requires students’ to pass the 20 core units and 4 elective units (total 24 units).
The course structure is summarised below. Year 1 of the program of study consists of eight core units, Year 2 consists of six core units and two electives, and Year 3 consists of six core units and two electives.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully complete the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) will be able to:
- demonstrate intercultural awareness so as to function effectively in a professional global workplace
- work effectively in a team environment, both as contributors and as leaders, to deliver outcomes
- apply broad business and accounting knowledge, theories, principles and skills to resolve real-world business issues
- exercise initiative and judgement for resolving issues arising from complex and changing business environments
- use a range of traditional and innovative communication strategies to transmit ideas to both specialist and non-specialist audiences
- utilise contemporary digital technologies to source, analyse and interpret data for data driven decision-making.
